Swedbank Economic Outlook Seminar 2012 gathered some of the world's leading business economists and central bank representatives in Stockholm Thursday 13 September.

We would like to share with you four presentations by the following renowned economists:

-          One of the most acclaimed forecasters in the US, Chris Varvares of Macroeconomic Advisers speaks about the US position and the situation prior to the presidential election.

-          John Calverley, head of Macro Economic Research at Standard Chartered Bank in Toronto who foresaw the burst of the housing bubble in the US in his book "Bubbles and How to Survive Them" (2004). He has been monitoring China for a long time and reveals what kind of landing is ahead for this world GDP engine.

-          Michala Marcussen, CFA and Managing Director heading a research team of 20 economists of Société Générale in London is a frequent commentator in the financial press in Europe. She speaks about the situation in the euro zone and the way forward.
