New CEO of Swedbank Ukraine appointed

Reiner Müller-Hanke has been appointed the new CEO in Swedbank Ukraine. Sergey Tigipko will resign from his operational position by the 15th of June 2009 and take up the position as a member of the council of OJSC Swedbank.

For the past ten years Reiner Müller-Hanke has served as the CEO of KMB BANK, Bank of Intesa Sanpaolo, in Moscow. Before his present position at KBM Bank Reiner Müller-Hanke has held several top management positions in the financial sector in Germany, Russia and South America.

With his broad-based competence and experience in the financial sector I am convinced that he is able to navigate us and our clients through this challenging time” says Annika Wijkström, Executive Vice President and Head of International Banking of Swedbank Group.

The appointment requires necessary approval from the National Bank of Ukraine.
